Getting the most out of your fitness workouts has a lot to do with varying the type of exercises and the manner in which they are completed. For us who have been embarking on fitness routines for sometime now it almost seems to be the norm to be completing the old 3 sets of this and 3 sets of that training. Changing your workout routine will actually enable you to get greater results faster than if you hadn’t – whether you want to lose weight, build muscle or simply tone up.

Keep in mind though that when you do change up your routine you should stick to it for a period of time before changing it up again – this will get you great results. The reason being is that your body will get used to the new routine and your results will slow down – so if you change it up every now and again then your results will be much greater. How do you monitor this? Well it’s a good idea to keep a small diary or note book with you every time you workout and keep a record of what your doing.

This way if you do this routine say for a period of 4 weeks – you can look back and see what worked and what didn’t – and if you didn’t get the results you were hoping for then change it up. If you are getting results then perhaps change up the intensity – but not the whole workout. I would recommend that if you were getting good results then stick with it for around 8 weeks then change it around with different reps, exercises, sets etc. Your little note book will come in very handy and will show you what is working and what isn’t.
